OIG Report on Red Wolf Program Released

Opposition to the Red Wolf Recovery Program has manifested itself in a number of ways. One of these is through complaints by some red wolf opponents to the Department of the Interior’s Office of the Inspector General (OIG) criticizing the United States Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) Red Wolf Recovery Program, which is based in Manteo, NC. (The USFWS Southeast Regional Office is located in Atlanta, GA).

Three allegations from red wolf opponents were investigated by the OIG. We urge you to read the entire report, keeping in mind as you read that the “Red Wolf Recovery Program” (again, based in Manteo) is the field team responsible for implementing the Red Wolf Recovery Plan.
